Waqtuna
Prayer times and the Qibla direction, computed on your phone
Waqtuna computes prayer times and the Qibla direction right on your phone. Core calculations work offline and without an account; if times differ, your mosque’s timetable prevails.
What Waqtuna does
Prayer times
Computed on the device with astronomical methods (Adhan library), from your location or a city you enter manually.
Qibla direction
Computed geographically on the device, from the location stored on the phone.
Prayer alarms
Alarms at the exact times you set, rescheduled after a restart, an update or a time change.
Nearby mosques
Search through OpenStreetMap with a location rounded to about 1 km, then directions in your navigation app.
Three languages
Interface in French, Arabic (right to left) and English.
No account, no ads
No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDK. The Google account and the Google Drive backup are optional, in the app’s private space.
Child mode
A parental restriction blocks GPS location, downloads, external links, Google sign-in and backup.
The Preview, an off-store pre-release
The Preview is distributed here, outside Google Play, under the package com.noorapp.muslim.preview, separate from the future Google Play version. It is signed with the Waqtuna key.
It is a pre-release: some features may still change, and some content stays locked until its review is complete.
Privacy
In the Android Preview app (outside Google Play), a small version file is read from brk-apk.com at start-up and via “Update” (no profile data sent; blocked in child mode). The Google Play version does not contact this site.
